Avanti Healing Arts® is now in Estes Park, Colorado.

This gateway to the Rocky Mountain National Park---best known as a vacation/tourist mecca in the summer--- is a small community of individualistic people doing their thing the rest of the year. For the moment, it is my refuge. I came here to teach Reiki and hike.

As soon as I arrived, I accidentally gravitated to a little upstairs haven of a place called Every Body's Business next to a gourmet ice cream shop (wait a minute, there are no accidents) where I am now giving Reiki treatments. It is a wonderfully innovative holistic boutique located on the main drag in Estes where everyone goes (hence the name). Here the professionals practice a blend of complementary treatment: acupuncture, massage, Bach flower remedy and essential oil consultation, yoga and healing circles. There is a store full of products for health, meditation and enhancement of peace--all knowledgeably presented by Manager Serena Rappel.

Classes and Retreats finished in 2007 were in Maine (Monhegan island), then California, Oregon, & Washington. Colorado is my new home, yet a big part of my heart will always be in Maine with the ocean. Classes will be held in Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia), and Maine in August. 2008 classes scheduled so far are in S. Colorado and New Mexico. There are always new places to explore, especially within.

As the daughter of a pilot, I have always enjoyed my airport solace time, anticipating the next flight, contemplating life in my little waiting area, reading a good book, drinking chai latte, knowing that I am in a welcome hiatus of communication with the outside world. It is sometimes a lonely existance, but I am happy alone in my knowledge of being on the right path, and comforted always by the presence of the Great Spirit. The reality is that we have to live somewhere, and as the book says, Everywhere You Go, There You Are.

Where I am this winter is living in a one room cabin near Estes Park, Colorado, with thousands of acres of beautiful hiking in the Roosevelt National Forest on my doorstep, with my partner and his amazing Reiki Dog, Little Big Red. This winter offers the quiet time to settle down to finally finish writing a couple of books, before resuming a busy teaching schedule in spring in the SouthWest (S.Colorado/ New Mexico) United States. Look for a futuristic novel for teens on Earth consciousness, the book on Reiki Healing Dance, and Essays from cross country journeys to be completed and out by the end of the year.

REIKI HEALING DANCE AND SOUND

Back from presenting the Reiki Healing Dance™ Practitioner Workshop in Evian les Bains, France (a virtual hotbed of Reiki madness), I am amazed at the energy of this wonderful annual European Reiki conference sponsored by Nita Mocanu of ReikiForum. Attend it next May and you will not be disappointed. There I met the most inspired and expert Reiki practitioners and teachers. It was an atmosphere that was trusting, light-filled and informative in the extreme.

A few of the participants in the Reiki Healing Dance Workshop here work with the energy of the Cedar of Lebanon, an ancient, spiritual being located outside the classroom!

The future brings collaboration with Vera Nikalova, professional international chanteuse, to present Reiki Songs and Dances for World Peace. In this time of immense change and urgency for the planet, sound and movement are a catalytic combination. We hope to help the planet to endure the stressful events, such as global warming, that are upon her.
